A bit of a zombie fixation

If I had a copy of R.E.M.'s version of I Walked WIth a Zombie right now, it'd be very fitting. Thanks to staying awake a bit longer than I'd intended, and watching a mix of Resident Evil, The Replacements, Day of the Dead, and Cherry Falls is probably contributing to reading more into things. Well, not so much The Replacements as much as the other three movies--and mostly the zombie ones. Driving on mostly deserted roads, and walking into a seemingly empty hospital to start work is always just a bit eerie for me. It's deceiving, since the parking lot is fairly full, you just don't see anyone for a little while, though. One of my recurring fears when I was working the overnight shift was something horrible happening, and not being sure of what to do. Rachel wouldn't even stay up to watch Resident Evil with me, she said the creatures were too freaky for her--none of Romero's zombies ever seemed to scare her, though. Personally, I think she's jealous of Milla Jovovich--that, or she didn't want me to sulk if she ogled Eric Mabius.
Thankfully, nothing ever did happen, and even if it had, the rest of the lab working would have been more than helpful, I'm sure--I mean, unless they were turned into zombies, right? As I walked yet another deserted hallway, I found myself thinking about the quickest exits, down, NOT up. I checked a couple of doors to see if they were locked. Most were. The thought of actually buying a copy of The Zombie Survival Guide has actually crossed my mind a few times. I've lost count, really.
Boy, did I feel stupid when a nurse from one of the ICUs saw me after just checking a door.

Mmmm, good match up, Elle vs. Michael. Interesting. I see, a Dark Horse comic treatment of it. :)

Even if I don't I don't like, it surely won't be on the same level as, say, Pieces, you know? I can get enjoyment out of all sorts of movies--but that one just didn't do it for me, or my roommate at the time. Thankfully, it was free thanks to the perks provided to me by my video store employer.

I check doors a lot, too. Especially on eerie feeling days. Haha! yer neurotic! ;-)
