So, finally back in my office. Apparently, I was missed. It's a nice feeling to have been missed.

While on vacation in Pennsylvania, it seemed like a lot of time was spent eating. After being picked up at Pittsburgh International Airport by Rachel's parents, we made way toward Ellwood City. It amazed me that the airport has a mall inside of it. If I recall correctly, that's the way the train station Union Station (thanks chandrax93Alexandra!) in D.C. is as well. It's been a while, so I could be wrong.

When we got to Ellwood, we pulled into Brighton Hot Dog Shoppe and then to J&T's for ice cream. Mmmm. Ice cream!

The rest of our time there is a blur of food, family, graduation (our nephew Nicholas graduated from high school), more food, a graduation party, a petting zoo, children's museum, and more food. Rachel and I never did get to go to Shakespeare's like we had wanted to, but really, we had TONS of food, you know? Abby was doted upon by her grandparents, aunt, uncle and cousins. Lucky her got to see Madagascar (or MaDEEgascar, as she says it) and The Adventures of Shark Boy and Lava Girl in 3-D, well maybe she was quite so lucky with the latter, but she seemed to love it.

On the way home, I noticed that Wok and Roll in the airport had sushi, so I dared it and got a tuna roll. It really hit the spot. Rachel opted for a wrap from Au Bon Pain, which I'd never heard of before.

During the trip, I also became more familiar with the soy milk that Jonothan takes. After getting home, I bought some Sun Soy brand chocolate soy milk, and found that I really like it. It is closely followed by Silk's Very Very Vanilla, which I also liked quite a bit. All the rest was just eh, as far as I was concerned. Jonothan seems to like all of it, except the chocolate flavored one, which works out well for me.

I'm a Blue Converse All-Star

Mellow and laid-back, you're the easy-going type of person. Not one to let too many things phase you, you drift through life ignoring the struggles and giving a slight smile to the good times. Others around you might get annoyed at your lack of passion, but they don't realize that your content to be what you are: you take the good with the bad and never let anything get you down. You're the Carmelo Anthony or Yao Ming of your world, and while you'd definitely prefer a easier, better life, you're not one to dwell on the negative and instead you always at your current state, with a rare glimpse to the future or past.

What color Converse All-Star are you?

While shopping yesterday, I noticed my first box of wine in Wal-Mart.

It amused me immensely.

Popped Culture

The Hyperbole Award goes to TV star Loni Anderson who wrote in her autobiography, My Life in High Heels, that having sex was like "experiencing a nuclear explosion in a very small space."

While a short song, I have to say, I really enjoyed listening to it.

That is all.

Thanks to Razor magazine, I now know about some events/festivals in June. While the 54th National Square Dance Convention in Oregon or the Texas Scottish Festival and Highland Games may attract some people's fancy, what really caught my eye was Custer's Last Stand Reeactment in Montana. Sadly, none of those are anywhere near my area. Oh well.

There's also an interesting piece entitled "The Death of Old Media" which I still need to finish.

Lastly, I wasn't all that impressed with the trailer I saw for Keira Knightley's new movie Domino, however, the writers at Razor disagree. Considering that Tony Scott is directing and the screenplay was written by Richard Kelly--you know, the guy behind Donnie Darko, which I worshipped for some three days last year--I suppose I could have been WAY off. Still, most probably it will be a renter, since there are so many movies making their way to theaters.

Oh yeah, Season I of Lost is set to be released on DVD September 6th. w00t!

Yes, I am watching an episode of The Tick (The Tick vs. Dinosaur Neil) as I type this. It's been a LONG time since I've watched it, and I didn't know that Toon Disney was running it at 11:00 p.m.
