When the intro to this song began playing, I couldn't help but laugh a bit. I mean, come on, here's Huey Lewis and the News, and they're tackling a "serious issue" like the treatment of veterans upon their return from Vietnam.

Now, I do imagine they were all very sincere about this song, but I'll take Power of Love or Stuck With You, or any of their other more pop accessible songs. Part of the reason I really enjoy Power of Love so much is a direct result of watching Back to the Future every weekend after it made its network television debut. Yes, I had no life back then, and I was happy about it. Anyway, back to Huey Lewis. They don't need to prove anything. They're no Midnight Oil, you know? Stick to the pop, boys.

Yeah, okay, I get a feeling I'm sounding a little like Patrick Bateman. Off to find a chainsaw, or axe and one of my co-workers.

P.S. I think I should have gotten more sleep last night. I blame my congestion and Band of Brothers on HBO.

New Horatio Hornblower? Dang. Why do you TV programmers torment me!!

I don't think I commented on some of your recent posts. How was your Thanksgiving? Are you and yours set for Christmas gifts and such?

"Right on!"

I love "The Power of Love". I'm really into 80s pop right now, I told my Aunt that I liked classic rock (which to me is Power of Love, Highway to the Danger Zone, Living on a Prayer, can you tell how young I am?) and she corrected me and told me that I really like 80's pop. I was staring to feel cool thinking that I liked classic rock, but no . . . she crushed all my dreams of being cool . . .

Awww, you're still cool, you just don't know what you like. Now, if I can get you into some new wave, and punk and stuff. :)
