Yes, my iPod tanked on me this. She and I had a fairly long and VERY good relationship. Clearly, she will be missed immensely. Without further adieu, here's today's Friday Seven. .: sniff :.

Peter Frampton - Baby, I Love Your Way
Sunscreem - Doved Up
Suzanne Vega - Tom's Diner
The Folk Implosion - Natural One
Richard Cheese - Relax
Five for Fighting - Easy Tonight
Mötley Crüe - Time for Change

I had Peter Griffin flashbacks as I listened to this song. Actually, I also remembered Ethan Hawke and Ben Stiller at odds in Reality Bites. Of course, I didn't care for that version nearly as much as Frampton's, but anyway.

Sunscreem's only real hit was Luv U More, which both intrigued me and disturbed me equally. Then I heard the cover of it by RollerGirl and was intrigued and disturbed even more.

I am not sitting in the morning at the diner on the corner. But I sometimes wish I were. Are there any diners left anymore though? Certainly none around the area that I live in.

Le sigh--this song reminds me of a young Chloe Sevigny in Kids. Wow, Rosario Dawson, too. Larry Clark sure knew how to cast people.

Richard Cheese. That's really all I need to type here, isn't it?

Easy Tonight is not at all my favorite song from Five for Fighting. I prefer 100 Years or Superman (It's Not Easy) instead. Just sayin'.

Now, Mötley Crüe is another one of the many artists and things that comprise my extensive list of guilty pleasures. Really, who can resist a glam-metal band that writes a song about world peace and improving the human condition while most likely spending more than some countries' GDP on heavy drugs and alcohol? There's a bit of a tongue-in-cheek sentiment in there somewhere, no?

All right, that's it for this week. Later.

EDIT--Thankfully, I still have Last.fm where I can at least get to my library, sort of.

Yup, we're Last.fm friends! :)

I have the O3 CD somewhere, and will need to dig it up whenever I do get another MP3 player--though I don't know when that will be.
