Hey
Ben, happy birthday!
NBC has a new Saturday morning lineup that they've christened Qubo--the way it's pronounced, it sounds like "What's up?" in Spanish. Two programs from Big Idea are part of the schedule: Veggie Tales and 3-2-1 Penguins. I wondered what changes, if any, Veggie Tales would undergo. Today's episode was a retelling of Don Quixote. Long ago in high school, I remember reading the book, hating the fact that other people in my class found it humorous to call me Sancho (since it's very close to my last name), and feeling like I was missing out on a lot since we read the abridged version of it. Same goes for Les Miserable, I kind of felt like we were being shortchanged reading the shorter versions. I have repeatedly heard that I wasn't really missing anything at all.
In any case, Sancho wasn't called by that name but Pancho. Ok, no big deal. I did find it VERY amusing that Pancho/Sancho at one point advises the good Don to "lay off the salsa". I see the real life lessons being pushed onto us by NBC.
Nonetheless, the episode kept Abby's attention and well, mine as well. AND, and Babar's back on as part of the lineup as well!
As I sit and type this, I find myself wanting some calamari thanks to David Attenborough's narration of the squid life cycle.

We are a VERY Christian family and Veggie Tales videos are a daily thing around here. It would be cool to record new stuff from TV. (As an aside, was there a Silly Song with Larry? That's my favorite part. :) )

Also can't recall a silly song, either, but then it could have been on when I wasn't watching. 3-2-1 Penguins was mixed in with a Larry Boy Stories bit.

Maybe one day when I retire, if I live that long. Heck, perhaps I'll even learn French and...well, perhaps I'm getting a bit too ambitious for my own good.
