So, my Westell 327W router (don't laugh) was being flaky. It's acted this way before, rebooting every fifteen minutes or so, and only holding onto its DHCP settings for fifteen minutes as well.

Apparently, doing a factory reset and then restoring my backed up configuration works for some. It has, so far, worked. Still though, it seems like a real router is needed, no?

We'll make do for now.

The current episode of ST:TNG is Yesterday's Enterprise, one of my favorites because it has Tasha Yar, opening up Denise Crosby's appearance as a Romulan descendant of Tasha. It is also hilarious to me that Shooter McGavin served on the Enterprise-C as well.

P.S. Never mind, the router's borked (or must have felt my negativity about it).

P.P.S. Oh man, SLC Punk! is going to be on IFC tonight, and again later. Really, it's about the only Matthew Lillard movie that I actually liked.

those westell routers are #$%&! and are worthless. They overheat quite quickly and you have an olde internal fan try mounting it on there and letting that help cool it down. Or if you have floor vents put it on the vent., ALso if it is still covered under warranty get yourself another from them. Or at least a sorry little modem and than pick up a belkin or linksys router. Alledgely linksys has a modem/router for verizon DSL that should work however modems seem to be a bit on the propeerty settings
