Have you ever read The Sandman by Neil Gaiman? If not, then you've not had the pleasure of "meeting" the Endless: seven beings that have been around since something like forever.

The seven are:
Potmos (Destiny)
Teleute (Death)
Oneiros (Dream/Morpheus)
Olethros (Destruction)
Epithumia (Desire)
Aponoia (Despair)
Mania (Delirium)

Have you read the Dream Hunters? It's illustrated by Yoshitaka Amano, and it is beautiful... all the artwork from the series is cool but these images are exquisite. :)
