How did I not know David Cronenberg directed Spider?

Sheesh, how much of a failure am I?

Did you see Spider? What did you think? I don't know anyone who's seen it. I saw it alone when it came out. I'd like to see it again. Though it's not the happiest movie in the world. But I guess he's not known for happy movies.

Not yet. Rachel and I put the DVD in and as soon as I saw David Cronenberg's credit, I thought we might want to watch it when we can truly immerse ourselves in it.

I'm curious about it, but Rachel may not be, she hasn't forgiven him for Crash, which I didn't think was that bad.

I haven't seen Crash yet because all of my friends who saw it warned me off of it. But it's going on my Netflix list. You definitely need to be in the 'mood' to watch Spider.

The only other movie of his I know I've seen is eXistenZ. I liked that one. It's not super dark and is SciFi. Layers within layers of reality. Very interesting. I've seen it several times.

Yup, Rachel wasn't too keen on eXistenZ (despite Jude Law being in it), and I wasn't either, the first time. The second and third time, it grew on me. It also helps that I like Jennifer Jason Leigh.

I caught a bit of Cronenberg's Naked Lunch and would like to watch it in its entirety sometime. Dead Ringers was alright by me, Rachel should watch that one since she LOVES Jeremy Irons. Scanners, The Brood and Videodrome were MESSED up. The Dead Zone, too, was alright by me. His remake of The Fly was eh, but I had fond memories of the original.

One day, I'll also watch Rabid.

Whew. Cronenberg OD.
