I am sitting here watching Anaheim at Cleveland on ESPN2. Anyone that knows me even a bit will know that this is something akin to torture to me. I did not grow up watching sports, and have not become a baseball fan overnight. Yes, there are some sports I might watch for an extended period of time, but generally, I will watch a movie or nature program.
Today was a cool, and oh so rainy grey day. Wind and rain were in abundance, but so far (and thankfully), nothing quite like what it was when Charley was around. The sheer size of Frances means that we will have wind and rain for some time. I can only hope that it won't be the thirty some hours that the Bahamas got. I cannot even begin to imagine.
There was no kite flying today.
Power has so far only gone out for about five or ten seconds and that's about it. Thank goodness.
Dinner consisted of tilapia, potato wedges in olive oil, and green beans. It was SOME good, I must say. There were some filets that didn't have the spicy cayenne pepper on them, but I was really fond of the ones with it. Mmmm mmmm. Abby even enjoyed it--and she's been in a stage where she doesn't really want to try new foods.
Today I sat and thought about how much little Jonothan has already lived through in his short four months.
We also watched Cold Mountain and a bit of Dazed and Confused. I missed the beginning of the previous movie, and so will have to watch it sometime. The latter movie didn't seem to go over as well. Oh yeah, we were going to watch Case of Evil, however, the copy we got was damaged. I always forget that I need to check the DVDs for scratches or large cracks (which this one had) whenever we get them. Probably would not have mattered, as Netflix closed their Florida distribution center this week in response to Frances.
Ben just changed it from baseball to The Whole Nine Yards. I'm trying to decide if my displeasure was that apparent. That, and I wonder if my situation has improved. Hmmm, Natasha Henstridge and Amanda Peet. . .hmmm.

no subject
That sports has been the only bad thing for me this weekend is a VERY good thing.
Interesting DVD strategy, but yeah probably won't work for Netflix. :)
