Spec Spot, "a video library and community site for those engaged in the TV advertising industry." There are a few on there that would never make on it the air. Then from time to time, I'm surprised and see an ad that I didn't expect to see broadcast--say for example, the Chiclets ad with words that sound like dirty words.

A trailer for Alone in the Dark with Christian Slater, Stephen Dorff and Tara Reid is out. You decide, do you wish you could have those two minutes of your life back? Sorry dial up users, this may take a while to download. Hrm, this guy's (Uwe Boll) got all sorts of video game movies on his bio--House of the Dead (pretty horrible, from what I've heard), Far Cry, Bloodrayne, and the previously mentioned Alone in the Dark.

Yet again, zombies are part of an entry of mine. Great.

I haven't watched the trailer, but, um, I'm in no way opposed to spending time alone in the dark with Christian Slater and Stephen Dorff.

"Electromagnetics off the scale!"
"Calibrating all sensors now, sir"

Thought you might like that. :)

I kind of laughed when Christian Slater said, "Don't be insane!"

I will watch this movie at some point in my life. *grin*

I also like: "I just killed John. He was one of them."

Heh, yeah, I forgot about that line. Actually, I had a hard time with Tara Reid wielding a weapon. It doesn't look right. One day, I'll probably watch this too, but I probably won't pay box office money to see it.

Oh, none of them looked right wielding weapons. Especially when Dorff threw that knife. It was so silly!

This is sure to hit the $5 bin at Wal-Mart on DVD.

Ooooh! It'd be cool to do a special package of it, and the old game--for $5.00. Yeah.

House of the Dead

From: [identity profile] syreene.livejournal.com
Yeah...pretty rank. Ravers on an island get attacked by zombies and all of a sudden learn how to use shotguns, grenades and swords...to find out the villan is some ancient Spanish monk who tries to defy death by creating zombies. Oh...and one of the ravers is supposed to be the guy who turns into the mad scientist of the game. Yeah...raver/scientists/weapon experts.

That, and the director seemed to get his hands on this turntable thingie to create a certain shot like the matrix, and uses it over and over and over and over and over and over...

Nothing quite like beating a special effect to the ground.
