  • 08:23 is gearing up for another busy day, but has to say this: Scarface could easily kill several hundred ClearPlay DVD players, for sure. Yup. #
  • 08:25 @ProfTim It tells me that music directors at radio stations have no clue which the good singles are on albums. One of PSB's weaker efforts. #
  • 13:25 says, "Le sigh." I will have to settle for using Synchroneyes when I'd rather just use Remote Desktop Connection. No <3 for you Win2K #
  • 13:53 @SatiricPacifist Sorry, I didn't see this until now. Send my sympathies and prayers. Both Rachel and I know full well what that's like. #
  • 14:48 says, "Carrie called it." Morrissey has cancelled. I'm now off to wear black on the outside 'cause black is how I feel on the inside #
  • 14:55 @tori_vixen Ok, first I find out Moz has cancelled, now I have to wait 'til Wednesday for a tweet from you? I FAIL at life. :( #
  • 18:44 @tori_vixen Please do, I'm wallowing in the mire over here. #
  • 18:46 feels like he's gotten into a fight with a not quite best, very distant and aloof, have to pay money to see them kind of friend. .: mope :. #
  • 18:46 @ProfTim I would, but he and I are fighting. #
  • 18:46 @gnatty That would be cool, but if I planned it, I'm sure he would cancel that appearance, too. #
  • 19:20 is sitting in on an FCAT prep session for parents. I am glad I never had test taking anxiety. Now, people skills are another story #
  • 20:36 @gnatty R.E.M. is another band I have never gotten to see. I lost my job a few weeks before their last Florida show. Black Flag is another. #
  • 20:41 is watching Life on Mars and is reminded of one of Lenny Kravitz's drummers. Come to think of it, I don't have enough Lenny on my iPod #
  • 21:15 @ProfTim Not to my knowledge. I don't want to get into something akin to battered spouse syndrome. Extreme, I know, but I am bitter. #
  • 22:02 is now back to wearing black on the outside. 'Cause that's how I feel on the inside (still). Thanks to all of you who shared in my misery #
  • 22:19 @gnatty Whoa, really? They're not everyone's cup of tea. One of my fifth graders asked me this morning, "Orange Crush? Really Mr. S?" #
  • 22:21 doesn't know what his problem is. Watchmen opens on the 6th, you know? Oooh SHINY! #
  • 22:23 @rachelstyle I wonder why they would have done that. I do admit I have erratic follow back behavior that I must correct, though. #
  • 22:27 @mrskutcher So, you're saying he's a good cook? #
  • 22:29 @gnatty You have just described how I've felt about the current class I'm finishing up. At least I got a 100% on the work. Woo. #
  • 22:30 @ProfTim You never said that about my marmot. .: sulks :. Oh wait, I've never had a marmot. #
  • 22:31 @jkottke IDK, the Cybermen's weakness to bling is up there too. Just my two cents...huh, I wonder if ED-209 is a Dalek cousin... #
  • 22:35 @aplusk CMJ still puts out a magazine with CD that includes some interesting stuff from time to time. In fact, I need to subscribe. Thanks. #
  • 22:42 @ProfTim I keep mine hidden, so... #
  • 22:43 @cjsec Target again? I wish we had one closer to our home. #
  • 22:45 and @gnatty have never seen Black Flag live (and will most probably never will). What musical groups have you never seen live? #

Michael W. Smith - Give It Away
311 - Electricity
Jackson Browne - Somebody's Baby
Elvis Presley - (Marie's the Name) His Latest Flame
Death Cab for Cutie - Sound of Settling
Belinda Carlisle - I Get Weak
Swing Out Sister - Breakout

What an odd collection of songs to have played as a group.

Both MWS and 311 songs are just eh for me, not ones I really got into.

Somebody's Baby reminds me of Jennifer Jason Leigh and Fast Times at Ridgemont High and I, suppose, Phoebe Cates. Oh yeah, and Sean Penn. And Judge Reinhold...ok, I'm stopping now.

Is it wrong that I would prefer to listen to The Smiths' live version of Marie's the Name the segues into Rusholme Ruffians? I love that song, and the bass line used to give me the most difficult time. I think I have a good part of it figured out, but don't fight with it as much anymore. Still mad at Moz for canceling his Orlando show.

Sound of Settling was the first Death Cab for Cutie song that I ever listened to. Of course, I still really like the thing.

Both Belinda Carlisle and Swing Out Sister make me kind of wistful. Le sigh for Jane Wiedlin, too.
