So, perhaps the LJ blocking done by our filter was some sort of error? I only say that since I'm now able to log in and actually get to my friends page, et cetera, et cetera, et cetera. Glad for it, but keep thinking it'll go away again. We'll see, I suppose.

So, have made an appointment to have my teeth extracted. Next Wednesday at 8:30 a.m. Could have had it done this morning at 9:30 a.m. but didn't think that short of a notice would go over too well (it didn't actually). The thing is that I've not spoken to anyone that's had teeth extracted and NOT had a tough time with it. Would it be possible to will myself to be better faster? With any hope, that will be what happens.

Brought in some cake to share with the co-workers and could only think to label it: "Eat and be merry." Last week, I labeled the snacks brought in: "To serve man." I don't think anyone really got it. Same thing with the "Share and enjoy" label I made for something else.

Apparently, we bring a LOT of stuff to eat to our office.

Oh, and iTunes, you're so funny, playing Dr. Feelgood whilst I write an entry on tooth extractions. Hmmm.

Oh yeah, finished reading Stephen King's Cell. I was sucked into it, but by the time I got to the end, I felt a bit cheated. Oh well.

Still though, I wish I'd found The Guardian's The Digested Read before diving into the thing. I believe that The Movie Spoiler also has something similar to it as well, but cannot remember (and will have to look for it sometime).

Moving on to a couple of other things I'd not read yet, such as: Daniel Clowes' Ice Haven, Alan Moore's League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, Joyce Brabner's Our Cancer Year and The Gunslinger (I've not read a single one of the Dark Tower series, not one).

Perhaps I should dig deeper into the library's catalog for other stuff to read?

Forgot to mention the Strawberry Sky episode of Good Eats that was on recently.

His description of free radicals and what antioxidants can do for you (and me, as well) was great. Basically, he had his crew (an atom) sitting around with strawberry desserts (in place of electrons), and took one of the desserts away from one unfortunate crew member. This, in turn, caused that person to seek out a new dessert which caused each person that was missing a dessert to seek out someone else's dessert (and also turned he/she into a free radical). Alton then played the antioxidant role and provided the missing dessert (or electron) back to the person that needed it, without asking for anything in return, even. Neat. Well, seemed neat enough to me anyway. It was more entertaining to watch than read my poor description of it.

That's right, I was completely unsure of what each meant beforehand and had not looked it up before.

Also did NOT know that one of Alton's first jobs was as Director of Photography for R.E.M.'s The One I Love video. As if I couldn't like the man enough already.

If you had me alone, locked up in your house for twenty-four hours and I had to do whatever you wanted me to, what would you do with me? All comments will be screened because it's a secret. And, feel free to be anonymous as well. Then repost this in your LJ. You might be surprised with the responses you get.
