Red Stapler

servermonkey: (Goofy Grin)
Couldn't remember sharing about Luc's red Swingline stapler purchase a long while back. He was really quite excited when he finally got it. Unfortunately, someone else was also excited about it as well, and the red Swingline stapler disappeared.

It eventually reappeared, and he's never been quite sure who the guilty party was that actually took it.

Well, it seems to have disappeared again, but it does have an LJ now: [livejournal.com profile] _redstapler_

Stupid Science

In 2003, three university scientists tackled the important question: Is Kansas actually flat as a pancake? They measured a representative pancake. They measured a representative slice of Kansas. And now the truth can be told: Kansas is actually flatter than a pancake, to a minute degree. After that study, the researchers could get back to studying the other important question: Are scientists thicker than pancake syrup?

I got sucked into Elf a while ago. Buddy, and Zooey Deschanel caught me at the right place and right time. I really like her singing as well. Even Faizon Love didn't really annoy me, like he did when he was on Dinner for Five.

Last night, I got sucked into The Day After Tomorrow. I've been a fan of Jake and Maggie Gyllenhaal ever since I finally got a hold of Donnie Darko. And after watching Secretary, my fondness for Maggie Gyllenhaal increased exponentially, as it did with so many others.

It took me forever to place Dash Mihok's face. Ended up looking it up, and then I realized he was in William Shakespeare's Romeo + Juliet. Now, since Rachel and I had just watched The Phantom of the Opera recently, it was much easier for me to remember Emily Rossum.

Stayed up late to finish watching it, even.

Sucker.

MJ decided he wanted to recreate the Drive-Thru rage incident that took place in Maryland recently.

Hey, I love Star Wars as much as the next person--if they like Star Wars, that is--but I have never been to a convention yet. I may one day, but it's doubtful that I'd ever dress up for it. Yes, yes, I have wanted to build my own lightsaber from time to time, but I haven't done it. Yet.

Anyway, here are some folks who chose to dress up. Comments are [livejournal.com profile] krautboy's and not mine.

Flame on.

Well, got an appointment to have my wisdom teeth out. All the other follow up appointments for root canals, crowns, and cleaning total up near $5000.00

Yeah. Five THOUSAND dollars. Oy.

Went to Taco Bell because we weren't done with everything until nearly 7:15 or so. One sign advertised Taco Bell during Lent. All items can be ordered without meat. Interesting. At the next window, there was a sign that policy prevents Taco Bell from serving drive-thru customers who walk up to the drive-thru window. Apparently, this happens often enough that a sign and policy had to be drawn up. I can, however, remember doing something like that long ago at a Burger King in Miami. Only once.

Oh yeah, and did it in Gatlinburg, but it was a walk up window--no cars allowed.

You Belong in 1980

1980

If you scored...

1950 - 1959: You're fun loving, romantic, and more than a little innocent. See you at the drive in!

1960 - 1969: You are a free spirit with a huge heart. Love, peace, and happiness rule - oh, and drugs too.

1970 - 1979: Bold and brash, you take life by the horns. Whether you're partying or protesting, you give it your all!

1980 - 1989: Wild, over the top, and just a little bit cheesy. You're colorful at night - and successful during the day.

1990 - 1999: With you anything goes! You're grunge one day, ghetto fabulous the next. It's all good!

Ok, back to messing with the new TiVo/DVR remote and setting up Season Passes. Mmmm.
