It was an early morning yesterday
I don't know why I will hear a song and it just continue to annoy me until I own it--be it via legal or not so legal ways. It was weird to read the info for Supertramp on AllMusic, something about a millionaire starting up a band and such. I'd link directly to it, but some script keeps me from doing so. Oh well.
I can only blame whichever pop radio station I was listening to at the time to blame for this recent Goodbye Stranger obsession. One time, it was Gilbert O'Sullivan's Alone Again Naturally that bugged me for nigh a week before I succumbed. Saddest happy sounding song I've ever heard--with the exception of the ton of Smiths songs that were the same way. You know, happy melody--melancholy lyrics.
On the unrelated dinner front, I was upset to have to throw out meat I'd accidentally left out to thaw--all night. The plastic wrap around it was slightly inflated, which I took as a bad sign. Sigh.
