1. Are you superstitious? Not as bad as I used to be, and definitely not like my mother is--you'll see below.
2. What extremes have you heard of someone going to in the name of superstition? My mother has actually killed turtles for some odd reason, she also always slept with a glass of water under the head of the bed, and would absolutely freak out if I ever put her purse on the floor for any reason. I never asked, because I just didn't care after a while.
3. Believer or not, what's your favorite superstition? My favorite used to be the one about crossing a black cat's path. In younger days, I remember searching out black cats to cross their paths. They used to scamper off pretty quickly when I'd run up to try and get into their paths.
4. Do you believe in luck? If yes, do you have a lucky number/article of clothing/ritual? Somewhat. I used to have a favorite maroon Rusty shirt, I always had the most fun when I wore that shirt. Not so much lucky though, I suppose. Miss that shirt.
5. Do you believe in astrology? Why or why not? Not really, and one of the reasons why is the Hispanic guy my mom used to watch on Telemundo or whatever Hispanic channel we used to get. Imagine Liberace, if he were Hispanic (he wasn't was he?), and did horoscopes. He's still on TV, I believe. Scary.

Now. Must. Stay. Away. From. Walter. Mercado.
For the love of God.
Superstitions
Not exactly. I believe in the power of the mind, and if you believe in a superstition hard enough, you will subconsciously (when possible) find a way to make it happen.
2. What extremes have you heard of someone going to in the name of superstition?
Seeing people cross the street just so they don't have to step on a sidewalk full of cracks.
3. Believer or not, what's your favorite superstition?
Holding your breath as you drive by a cemetary so the souls don't possess you. I used to to that all the time as a kid...
4. Do you believe in luck? If yes, do you have a lucky number/article of clothing/ritual?
Well...I believe in karma, and the power of the mind (see #1).
5. Do you believe in astrology? Why or why not?
Yes, but I don't believe it can tell us as much as it does in the horoscopes. My mother has done astrology since before I was born, and back when she was a dedicated hippy a man did her chart and told her she would end up working for the military. Of course she didn't believe it then...but 15 years later, she worked for Wright Pat.
Astrology provides general guidelines...that's all. (to me anyway)
Re: Superstitions
For a long time, I would turn my radio off or down when driving by a graveyard too. Sad.

Re:
Fernando, eh? Is it sad that the first thing I thought of was Billy Crystal doing his Fernando bit, saying, "You look MAHvelous DAHling!"

And because of dating him for nearly 2 years, I STILL have a lot of Argentine things peppered in my Spanish.
Re:
Well spiced Spanish, eh? Cool.
