Due to the fact that Rachel had a ton of points to redeem, we subscribed to a bunch of magazines, one of which is The Hollywood Reporter. While it'd have been nice to have a subscription to Variety as well, I'll take what I can get and be happy about it.
I love reading the stuff about movies in various stages of production, and there was a Nicholas Cage one that caught my eye, but has escaped my memory. It caught my attention, because I said, "Nicolas Cage? In that?!" aloud. Guess I'll have to dig that issue up and see--ah, never mind, it's The Wicker Man (thanks IMDB).
Yes, it's a remake, though I get a feeling it won't be as shocking as the original was in its time.
Some other odd movies that caught my attention recently: The Untold Story (yikes!) and Scrapbook. Those I stumbled upon when reading some user comments about August Underground and August Underground Mordum.
Lastly, it seems that Saw 2 is underway and set for a Fall 2000 release. No Cary Elwes from what I read. Dina Meyer's in it, though--woo!
