So, one of our business partners has a Sharepoint site that we all use for several different things. The problem is that I keep getting a "Server Error in '/' Application." error message. It's a bit better than the Service Unavaiable message I had been getting. Yes, there are other things I could be doing, but I am really just trying to get by until end of the day today. Thankfully, a 2:00 p.m. meeting this afternoon will assist with this.

Samuel--brother-in-law--and I are finally having a dinner I've owed him for, oh I don't know, at least a year--if not longer. As a result, we'll probably head over and watch Transformers as well. My expectations are set to low, and I'm really going more for nostalgia than anything else. Bumblebee should be a VW Bug, not a Camaro--and I still haven't gotten over that. No Soundwave irritates me, but Digital Spy reports that not only one but TWO Transformers sequels have already been given the green light.

Decided to check out a copy of Lunar Park. I haven't picked up either of my copies of Less Than Zero or American Psycho in some, and perhaps I might again after finishing this one. I can't even remember what happened to my bought on the cheap copy of The Informers, and perhaps one day I can actually return the copy of The Rules of Attraction I've had on extended load (read: going on about five years now). Remakes are big in Hollywood anymore, it makes me wonder if anyone has ever thought about producing a film version of Less Than Zero that's a bit more true to the book. Yes, it would be difficult, given the pace and style of the book. Don't get me wrong, I actually liked the one that's already out there. Flash Gordon is being given treatment again, isn't it? Eh, who knows?

This weekend will be a working weekend, with a business trip to Tampa beginning on Thursday night and going through Saturday. I'm looking forward to sushi.

Mmmm, sushi!

Shirley Bassey has now come up not only once, but twice in things I have been perusing.

As a result, Goldfinger has queued up in my head and begun to play more than once as well.

EDIT--Ahhh, she has a newly released CD out now.

So, Sleepaway Camp. What a doozy!

IFC is still running its Grind House on Friday nights, and I happened to catch it then--thanks to TiVo, of course. Ended up finishing it during lunch a little while ago. Not only was that one shown, but David Cronenberg's Crash was tagged along with it. It's been a long time since I've seen it, and I have a feeling that I'll be just as disturbed by it now as I was then. I am unsure, however, if IFC choose to edit anything or ran it uncut--they typically don't edit that I can recall, though.

We ended up adding HBO to our DirecTV package and I was happy to see Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me was on. Sadly, it was on at one in the morning, but then TiVo took care of that problem as well.

Sundance had something called Spider Forest on the other evening--the first few minutes were intriguing, though vicious.
