Thank you (again) for your sympathy and kind words.

I've had a lot I'd wanted to write about other things (family, entertainment, work, et cetera), but just hadn't done so--didn't really feel right. I will eventually get around to it, unless I forget before I do.

Jon had an asthma flare up. It was a good thing we took him to the doctor when we did, as I don't know what would've happened overnight otherwise. He now has Albuterol, Pulmicort and Zyrtec prescriptions--which he's all too happy to take (which Rachel and I are glad for).

I've been very pensive with any songs that happen to come up on the iPod's shuffle. Eleanor McEvoy's Whisper a Prayer to the Moon queued up this morning and I'd not listened to that one in a LONG time. Hadn't listened to Precious Little in a while either. I always found her CD to be highly underrated and wished more people had listened to her. I'll have to see if I can grab some more music by her somewhere. There have been a ton of other songs I'd sat and thought about, but I can't recall them all right now.

Not sure if the Chiller channel addition is a DirecTV only thing or not, but I am VERY glad it's on the air. While it's highly unlikely that The Horror Channel will ever get enough support to get on the air, Chiller has NBC/Universal backing--and they've done fairly well with the Sleuth channel--okay, I'm a sucker for Miami Vice (and Saundra Santiago...who was nice to see on The Sopranos). Programming, so far, has included Twin Peaks, Alfred Hitchcock Presents, Night Gallery, Friday the 13th: The Series (YES, I watched this in my youth and it STILL creeps me out), Tales from the Crypt, Freddy's Nightmares (yeah, Freddy refers to Freddy Krueger), as well as classic suspense, horror, thriller movies. So, I've been setting the DVR as I get a chance and am on the lookout for more Twin Peaks.

My Logitech Play Link that I ordered from TheTechGeek arrived. I anxiously opened the box and got it set up in less than five minutes--not counting the time carefully spent opening the box instead of ripping it apart or something. I thought there'd be a drawn out process to set it up, but there wasn't. It just connected and went! The only minor issue I experienced was with my router. Every once in a while it decides not to hand out DNS settings and when it did that with the Play Link, my Xbox Live connected just stopped. It took me a few minutes to remember that my router does that, and once I manually entered DNS server settings, I was up and running again. I've tried to stick to buying Xbox Live enabled games, and I'm glad I have, since I can now use that capability with them. There are a few exceptions--Jade Empire looked too good to miss, and the limited edition version was only $14.99 so I went with that. It definitely makes Halo 2 even that much more awesome--yeah, I'm one of the last people to hop on the Halo wagon. Sadly, I still SUCK at Counter-Strike. I was only fair in the PC version of it, but pretty much get pwned on the Xbox version. At the very least, I've managed to pick up a bit in Halo 2. Still green to it, but am learning.

My new job is going great--I have a LOT to learn, though.

Have been reading some Max Brooks a bit, and need to get to my $1.00 copy of The Gunslinger again sometime.

Not sure...

But it seems as if something was in the food today. I'm SO tired now.

And I've got a lot of reading to do before the end of the day...I'm trying different things to keep myself awake--with varying degrees of success. Fan's on full blast, drinking water, kind of pseudo-slapping my face and getting up here and there to try and wake up a bit. ...snore...
