Thank you everyone for your thoughts, well wishes and birthday wishes. Warm feelings to my heart they brought, mmmm!

Still doing well with my empty sockets. Been off the painkillers since Saturday. Still have four of 'em left, in case I need them. Have been eating more and more food groups that are non mush. Still keeping away from exceptionally crispy foods, to be safe.

Had nearly twenty family members over last night for pizza and a get together. Rachel's had family from PA and Jacksonville drive down to visit. Jonothan didn't seem to know quite what to do with himself with everyone around, but after a couple of hours he was walking around playing with people and enjoying the company. Amazingly enough, getting Abby and Jon to bed wasn't nearly as difficult as I thought it'd be. Took longer, yes, but wasn't too arduous of a process.

By the time we got settled to watch the Academy Awards, it was nearly 10:00 p.m. so I just fired up our laptop and played some Civilization III: Play the World. I guess I need to increase the difficulty level, since I managed a cultural victory in 1922. Of course, I had lost a previously saved version of that game by holding UN Diplomatic elections and getting pwned by the PC players. Apparently, they didn't like me too much.

Still trying to decide what to do with my birthday money. Maybe save it to get a video card I've been keeping an eye on for a bit.

VERY much to be watching Joyeux Noël sometime!

It reminds me of a song by The Farm (whose only big U.S. hit was Groovy Train). I will save that for my typical music post later this week, though.

mineral777Adam brought me a bottle of Reed's Extra Ginger Brew All Natural Jamaican Style Ginger Beer--according to the label, it has 26 grams of fresh ginger per bottle. It definitely tastes like it.

Excellent! Thanks, man!
