My friend Luc who works in our LRC was taken to hospital with a gall bladder infection that has possibly spread to his pancreas.

He's able to take visitors tomorrow morning, and his surgery is scheduled for Tuesday.

So, keep him in your prayers, thoughts, whichever you please.

Thanks everyone, I've shared your kind words and thoughts with Luc.

Went by at about 5:00 or so this evening for a visit. His family have been there through the weekend, hanging in there. His pancreatitis was what the doctors were really concerned with, but the levels on it came back better than they had been when he was admitted, which was very good.

A quick aside, as this isn't about me...I felt somewhat silly stopping by without much more than myself and the assorted issues of Computer Gaming World, Computer Shopper, Electronic Gaming Monthly, PC Gamer and whatever other gaming and tech magazines I had. Luc really appreciated the visit and the fact that others out there are thinking of him.

Luc looked very tired, but then that was to be expected.

His surgery is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. tomorrow and is expected to last for about two hours or so. If it's at all possible, his gall bladder will be taken using laparoscopic surgery. If I recall correctly, the recovery time for laporoscopic surgery is less than a large incision to take his gall bladder.

He is allowed visitors at his discretion and if you'd like, I have the phone number for the hospital, though I cannot recall seeing a phone in his room or now.
