Happy birthday to queenseye and lubedpumpkin--and an early happy birthday to jenniferjuniper and gnatty.

A couple of gas stations are starting run out of gas--quite a few still have some, but Sunoco, and RaceTrac are getting to the point where they've only got premium left. I think we're set at home, and the president of our institution is supposed to be making a statement during chapel to our students, faculty and staff about plans.

Eesh.

How sad is it that I'd really, really like to have Joe Esposito's You're the Best from The Karate Kid soundtrack?

It has, so far, proved elusive in the short amount of time that I've searched for it.

I can thank AMC for running The Karate Kid recently, and partially causing me to want the thing. That, and the fact that Abby asked to watch The Karate Kid last night before falling asleep.

For what it's worth, at least I have Cruel Summer by Bananarama.

Classes are canceled Monday morning, but evening classes are still on until further notice. Classes were not going to be in session tomorrow, since it would have been Fall Break. Students are, obviously, glad to not have class on Monday.

Nothing specific was mentioned about faculty and staff preparations and such.
