It's been a while, so here we go.

Today's entry:

What were they thinking?

In the nineteenth century, preachers cautioned that ketchup and mustard led people to uncontrollable lust.

(to which my first thought was: Could you pass the Grey Poupon? :) )

From Wednesday, June 1:

Smart Thoughts about Stupidity

"Insanity is a perfectly rational adjustment to an insane world," psychologist R.D. Laing said. But then as Hollywood mogul Samuel Goldwyn said, "Anybody who goes to see a psychiatrist ought to have his head examined."

From Tuesday, May 31:

Dumb Plays in the Face of Fate

The small town of Gaston, South Carolina, finally gave in and set up its first stoplight in 1985. Two hours later, a car ran the town's only red light, causing a four-car pile up.

I am sad to admit it, but at least it will be the first step on the way to treatment, right?

EB had a pre-played (doesn't anyone use the word used anymore?) copy of Pokemon Trading Card Game for the Gameboy for the astonishingly low price of $3.99. I, of course, could not resist, so I bought it. Later on that night, I got rid of some games and picked up a game for Abby, and a copy of Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2 for N64--yes, Nintendo 64, I still use it from time to time. At least Rachel's into a game that isn't as embarrassing to admit--Tetris Worlds.

So, if I don't play Red Faction or some other game online during lunch, I have a back up plan.

Yeah.

FINALLY!

I've had this Quicktime.exe No Disk error for some time now, and it just hadn't bothered me enough for me to do anything about it. Clearing the history of the player fixed the error in amazingly fast order.

Until today, when I was showing Episode III: A Lost Hope, that TISM singing bunny, Baby Got Bible, and a few other finds to Matt--a friend I've not seen in a LONG time.

He, in turn, showed me Runescape, which I'd heard of, but hadn't played before. I'm on there as Servermonkey, of course.
