Did anyone else watch it on SciFi on Saturday, early Sunday morning? I watched the majority of it, but knew there were problems when Rachel caught me falling asleep a couple of times while it was on. Typically, this is the kiss of death for a movie for me. This time, however, I blame being more tired than I'd thought.

Watched Spider-Man 2 yesterday afternoon/evening. I write afternoon/evening since we started it once, got interrupted, and then watched it later. Alfred Molina didn't seem like the right choice for Dr. Octopus, but he really did seem to get into the role. Same thing with J.K. Simmons. Initially, he didn't seem right to play J. Jonah Jameson. I mean, really, I've gotten so used to him as Emil Skoda on Law & Order and Schillinger on Oz, well, you know, that's HIM. In both movies, he looks like he enjoyed himself quite a bit. Poor Bruce Campbell, though. He only seems to get little bits of a part in both of them.

Even worse off than Bruce Campbell was Daniel Gillies.Who? You might ask. He played John Jameson. Somewhere online, someone wrote--wished--that a storyline would be written taking John Jameson into space and bringing back the symbiote and then introducing it to the movie continuity (instead of becoming Man-Wolf?). If I remember correctly, there are some Venom rights issues--I think New Line owns the rights to the Venom character--so it is doubtful that storyline will actually go ahead. Perhaps that would be for the best.

Hmmm, who could be the next villain? It'd be too easy to go for the obvious, or perhaps have two villains in the next movie? Mysterio? Electro? The Lizard? The Sandman? The Vulture? The Scorpion?

Lastly, also caught the last part of The Outsiders sometime yesterday. It seems like a LONG time since the last time I've watched it.

Stay gold.
