Viva Nepal! Viva Nepal!
Before leaving for work, The Golden Child was on Showtime. Because I've watched it umpteen million times I, of course, had to watch it for a bit before leaving for work. It never occurred to me how similar the opening of The Golden Child was to the opening of Beverly Hills Cop II before. I am a little bit slow. Interestingly enough, Axel F happened to queue up on Winamp as well, so there's the Matrix goofing up a bit on you. Or not.
I remember really getting into that particular movie and gave serious thought to the possibility of the existence of a "golden one" (really, I did).
Honestly, I think I just wanted to make a Pepsi can walk and dance. Though reviving cool looking birds would have been cool as well.
Abby took a good nap today, and has had some toast and water. She's up and talking a bit more, and getting back to being herself. Which is good, obviously.
Lastly, at about 12:30 p.m. or so, UPS dropped off the installation CDs, wireless base station and DSL modem on our front door. Service is set to begin at 6:00 p.m. tonight, though I'm sure we'll try before then. Also need to get an 802.11g PCMCIA card or USB adapter for Rachel's laptop, though it'd be nice to borrow one and see how we like it, and whether we'd need another base station (almost wanted to type basestar, a la Battlestar Galactica).
