When I read about a new version of Band Aid's Do They Know It's Christmas? I was quite excited. I did not realize that this would be the third version of the song, since Band Aid II did it a few years back.

I get a feeling that there's no way am I finding that version anywhere online (haven't started searching yet).

Dativus "camped" out in the courtyard area between our LRC and another building. I write camped with quotes because, while they had tents and all, they were also running some extensions cords out for a TV and PS2, as well as bringing some couches. Didn't get a chance to see it, though. The annual Barn Party (school isn't allowed to worship the debil by have a Halloween party) is tonight, so I've lent my Fuji FinePix to Nicole. Pictures of that and Abby's many birthday parties are soon to follow as well.

One of Abby's birthday gifts (from great grandma on my side) was a (cardboard) chest of Disney Princess outfits. Abby LOVED them, and I'm amazed how well Grandma Chressie knows our Abby.

I was so tired last night that I don't know how I won a game of Magic Online and was only able to manage a few turns on KoL (blasphemy). Tired enough that I didn't even notice a little Abby crawl into bed as well, and she in turn was so tired that she slept 'til 8:00 a.m. (a rare occurence on the weekends). I was still a bit late to work (not quite so rare of an occurence).

Okay, I'm going to catch up on my lack of LJ activity, so I may be flooding friend pages. I apologize in advance.

Bravo ran 100 Scariest Movie Moments for a bit last night, and will be running it again today, I believe.

Because Abby was awake, I didn't get to watch any of it, but when she did fall asleep, Rachel watched a bit of it--it was the Rosemary's Baby bit--and I got to see Angus Scrimm from Phantasm. Amazingly enough, I've never any of that seires in its entirety.

I was, however, happy to see Brent Spiner on Enterprise, and found it quite cool that there were references to the Eugenics Wars (I kept replaying "KHHHHHHHHHHHANNNNNN!" in my head ). My friend Luc has one volume of the Eugenics Wars book series. Also, I don't ever remember seeing Orion males before, the one reminded me and my brother in law of Kevin James, just a bit. When T'Pol was being auctioned off, I wanted to bid, or at least try using a Buy It Now options.

Wasn't able to do either.

I was also surprised that my niece and her father want to go see Saw.

if I make my costume a reaper? Like from Dead Like Me?

I think I will, and if anyone asks, well they'll just have to watch the show, no?

Also, in my previous two posts, I neglected to mention the deliciousness of the pepperoni puffs and chocolate covered pretzels brought to us by Rachel's parents. There's just something about those preztels from Pennsylvania.

GUSH

servermonkey: (Rorschach)
Haven't tried it yet, but it's a chat/RSS piece of software called GUSH. There are screenshots there as well.

I'll be trying it out on Monday.

A recent entry by Wil Wheaton made me smile a few moments ago.

FunnyThe theme is Misinterpreted Movie Titles.

It's been a while since I've been to SomethingAwful and taken a look at their Photoshop Phriday section.

Too long really.
