Waiting for the night to fall. . .
This morning consisted of mowing the part of the lawn that I couldn't get to yesterday. Since I wasn't able to get a hold of a trailer, I was forced to move the debris in my front yard into my garage. I'll have to take a picture of it, so you can see the amount of crap I ended up moving. Rachel helped me with a few pieces, but she still wasn't feeling 100%, so I couldn't really ask for too much help. The truly annoying thing about it is that I'll have to move all of it, again, to a landfill. Rachel's brother Jeff said he's off on Thursday, and perhaps we can move it then. Ugh.
Abby's been really enjoying the time she's been spending with her cousin Nicole flying her Strawberry Shortcake kite. A bonus of the wind is that one can fly a kite. Come to think of it, today was the first time in my life that I've ever flown a kite.
So, pretty much all of the extended family we have in Polk County is at our house. We've grilled an obscene amount of hamburgers and hot dogs, some have played Yahtzee, and watched entirely too much of News Channel 8 and the Weather Channel throughout most of the day.
My brother-in-law and his friend Ben have never seen Fight Club before, so we've popped it into the DVD player. I've also decided to try and help my sinuses and throat by taking two teaspoons of Tylenol Cold Night Time. I will no doubt be ready to hit the sack long before the end of the movie, which is a shame, as I haven't seen it in quite some time.
