Our household is returning to normalcy. I was the only one spared--well, the dog, too--of the horrible stomach illness that Abby came down with. Jonothan scared the crap out of me when he vomited two of his bottles up. Switching up and giving him Pedialyte helped him immensely. That stuff, however, tastes horrible. Even the fruit flavored kind is pretty bad. Me and my curiosity.

After getting in to my office, I found out a couple of legs of our network were down, and our phone system were down. We had storms that were some big, with lightning to accompany them. There's a 60% chance of rain again today, so most likely that means that we will have issues tomorrow morning as well. We have a wireless tower that connects one side of our campus to the other side. Now, the base of this tower was built on plywood, and has since rotten out. So, as a result, we'll get somewhere between 25-75% packet loss on a really bad day. Always fun.

Netflix has become my new best friend, er, my new best entertainment source. I don't know what took me so long to come around, I mean I've only been debating it for about two years. I get a feeling that Rachel isn't going to like the service once she starts back to work, neither of us will have time to watch that many movies. I will have to wait and see.

To The 5 Boroughs is out today. Today is also pay day. Hmmm.

As much as I have loved Firefox, I have to say that I didn't get along with its current incarnation 0.9. There are some problems getting extensions and themes working, as well as problems getting it to even run on a couple of different platforms. Serves me right for updating so quickly.

Since two this afternoon, I've installed 0.9, fought with it a bit, uninstalled it, went on a hunt for the 0.8 download (found it at Download.com), and reinstalled 0.8. Thankfully, my profile information was saved, and it held on to AdBlock, Deepest Sender, and whatever other themes I'd tried out.

Oh, yeah, that Dan Stone is one heck of a guy. I e-mailed him this morning to find out which Deathcab for Cutie song he played on Sound Opinions this past weekend and after lunch there was an e-mail waiting for me with my answer.

Rachel mentioned in passing that she wondered what I'd look like with facial hair.

In response to her wondering, I stopped shaving on Saturday. It is a sad thing to see a server monkey with difficulty growing facial hair. I used to have a goatee at one time, but then I got annoyed with it and shaved it all off. Done that with the hair on top of my head as well. The results of that were disastrous--if I had pictures, I'd post them just to show you the horror.

So, now I'm walking around looking like I have some dirt on my upper lip and chin. I'm waiting for someone to tell me to wash my face.

And now, a second Gmail invite chance I've missed today. . .I'm much too slow. . .
