Trio was running
Kolchak: The Night Stalker last night.
It was a good thing.
I remember references to it by X-Files creator Chris Carter, and my previous employer had the pilot episode on VHS for rent. In all the years that I worked at that store, I never took it home for the night, despite thinking about it a lot.
Unfortunately, watching the whole show wasn't possible last night, but whomever played Kolchak bugged me--you know, like hearing a song you are absolutely sure you know, but can't place? I recognized the voice, the face, but couldn't remember from where. The laptop had been put away for about an hour when I clicked on Kolchak, and I really didn't want to dig it up and reconnect and all that jazz. Then it hit me, he was the dad in A Christmas Story, and I kept thinking of lines like, "Frah Gee Lay, it must be Italian" and "Not a finga!"
I was a year old when Kolchak originally ran. Weird.
Bravo (I know, I was talking about Trio a minute ago), why can't you bring back Twin Peaks?
