I liked it better when. . .
Just Can't Last always reminded me of Kind and Generous (or as many people thought it was called, Thank You).
I don't know where my penchant for Natalie Merchant came from. Part of me thinks it had something to do with her duet with Michael Stipe on A Campfire Song. There was a Ft. Lauderdale station that would play really, really good music, and 10,000 Maniacs was in the rotation.
I wish I'd kept a list of some of what they'd played, 'cause some of it was really obscure. It's much the same with the mix tapes that my old friend Yvonne used to make me. We used to make them for each other. I still have a couple of them lying around, but no cassette player in my car to play them. She always had a great diversity to her compilations. I used what I could scrounge up at the time. Oh, the stuff I could put together now!
It's no wonder Abby loves music so much.
