I looooved that story. I always say King is mind candy, or junk food for the brain, and then I pick up a book of his to re-read and am amazed at his awesome turns of phrase. He's really a pretty spectacular writer at times. "The Stand" is still in my top, hmm, twenty. (Can't say ten, unfortunately, but he gets in the twenty).
