I have to admit. . .

For all the horror and all sorts of other movies that I have watched in my thirty-two years of life, I have NEVER watched The Exorcist. Heck, I've even watched Terror in the Aisles and Pieces, for the sake of Pete! Funny, I remember sneaking to watch Alien when it made its network television premiere on ABC (at least, I think it was ABC) after my mother specifically forbade me from watching it--which was amazing really, she NEVER forbade me from watching all sorts of other craziness. Lot of good that did. And yes, I was TERRIFIED. Served me right.

I am reminded of this by Bravo's 100 Scariest Movie Moments, which I'd watched before, but I can't pass up on horror.

When my sister was about 13 years old, she was on this big horror movie kick. She would stalk around with her nose in the air saying, No horror movie will ever scare me! One night after work I stopped at the video store and tented The Exorcist for her. She slept in our mother's bed for a WEEK! I still give her shit about that!

That's really funny!

The Ring really CREEPED me out. Right place, right time when I watched that one. Rachel had to excuse herself. It was too much for her.

Someday, I'd like to see Ringu.

I love scary movies. I have more horror movies than anything else. Well other than indie flicks and comedys. Last great scary movie I saw was Sean of the Dead. And it was honestly more comedy than scary. Besides everyone knows zombies are funny.

I still need to watch that one.
