Before and after pics

Have a before pic and an after pic up.

Now, keep in mind that I took my before pic at about 6:15 a.m. while I was still groggy and unshaven. My after pic, while looking melancholy is actually me feeling quite alright. In fact, Rachel, Jonothan and I trekked to Publix for yogurt, soup, and a few other things for me to have at home.

For some reason, however, Jonothan is not at all happy. He's lying down in his bed screaming. Nothing seems to comfort him, but I guess we'll keep trying.

Abby is with her grandma and grandpa tonight and then children's church later tonight for her.

Went in to have wisdom teeth out today. Ended up getting six teeth pulled out today.

You were thinking rhinoplasty, weren't you? ;)

haha I didn't realize I was supposed to be looking at your cheeks, I thought that you would be smiling and you wouldn't have any teeth left :P

Lord liftin' Cod-cheeks! They made you into a blow fish!

I hope that you're feeling okay, Michael.

I thought I was doing ok. Guess you're right I am indeed puffy.

Not Puff Daddy, though.

Well, the gauze pads that were coming out a nice brownish blood color have more recently come out a more beige like color.

And, I'm all out of gauze.

Taken penicillin and my painkillers, still in so far, so good mode.

I did pray for Wolverine-like healing powers last night. Honest. I'm going to again shortly.

oh... here's a dental pain lesson... bags of frozen peas are your friend.
1. take the bag of frozen peas out of the freezer.
2. bang the bag of peas on the bench a few times so the peas are loose.
3. place the bag of peas in a teatowel (or other smallish towel).
4. place towelled peas against the sore bit.
5. hope the painkillers kick in sooner rather than later.

Thank you. Funny you mention that, on my post op instructions, bags of green peas are specifically mentioned for that same purpose.

Pretty cool. So far, I haven't noticed any major pain or nausea, however, I'm not nearly as peppy as I was for most of the day yesterday. I'm going to kick back today and try relaxing some. Actually kind of sleepy now, but I'm due for my penicillin and painkiller again.
