I feel stupid posting a Well DUH! entry, but I'm not sure what else to post. My thoughts and prayers are with those in London, and those that have friends or family there.

Writer Bill Vaughn pointed out the essential stupidity of suburban sprawl: "Suburbia is where the developer bulldozes out the trees, then names the streets after them."

It's so true!!! A one-hour drive through Orlando will yield you a VAST number of subdivisions named "Cypress Cove," "Whispering Pines," "Silent Oaks," where the developer bulldozed ALL THE TREES to build GIANT houses TWO FEET APART. I'm like, WTF?????? If you wanna see the "whispering pines" you gotta drive about 15 miles the other direction, to the lot that says FOR SALE BY DEVELOPER but hasn't been bulldozed yet.
