Gloves on "forensic" shows

Yet another clear example that I'm just way TOO retentive--and have problems suspending disbelief.

On TV shows like CSI (any flavor), Crossing Jordan, etc. etc. it drives me NUTS when the doctors are gloved up and their phone rings and then they proceed to ANSWER THE PHONE WITH THEIR GLOVES ON! Now, yes, if all they're doing is handling some non-biohazardous materials, yes I can see that and that doesn't make a vein in my head twitch. But I've seen it after whatever character's handling a murder victim. So, with that, tell me.

[Poll #467510]

Hey, I've got to get some polls in, I pay for them.

P.S. I actually keep a couple of boxes of polyurethane gloves around the house for different tasks. Really.

Laziness, of course

as long as you are getting your money's worth....come to think of it. I pay for polls and have yet to devise one.

In medicine, you wear gloves to keep whatever's on you off the patient.

In forensic pathology, you wear gloves to keep whatever's on the patient off you.

That said, I ain't touchin' that phone until it's been sanitized. Screw you, YOU answer it. = )

Also, CSI is a load of bollocks. They basically just Make Shit Up for almost every episode.

I personally want my dr.'s hands to be covered n germs from his cellphoen and I want to contract an airborne bacteria froom his cellphone. I mean it is not like he did not drop it 100x that day. end sarcasm

maybe the Dr.'s kept their cellphones germ free. *_*
Plus maybe they disinfected it also before bringing it into the operating room.

or maybe we pay too much attention to shows

Sadly enough, my dentist seems to have something in common with CSI. I try not to think about it too much.
