The Replacements

Before it was released, I remember hearing about a Keanu Reeves movie named The Replacements. Part me hoped that it would be about The Replacements. You know, Pleased to Meet Me, Tim, Don't Tell a Soul, All Shook Down. I wondered which part he'd play, would the story revolve around Bob Stinson's alcoholism. Would they lip sync music?

Then I learned it was about football.

Sadly, I must have all my Replacements songs on my PC at home, because I only have one here at work (Can't Hardly Wait). Also sad, it took me three times typing the word replacement without leaving out one of the Es in the word.

It's a funny movie, though, and has one of my favorite quotes from it:

"Wounds heal, chicks dig scars, glory lives forever."

;D

Yeah, there were a couple of things in it I liked. John Madden talking about the fat guy scoring. Faizon Love's character shooting the one player's BMW.

It was also amazing to me how HUGE Jon Favreau was in it. Huge, built like.
