Whew.
That Friday Five entry was really long--sorry folks.
Rachel just called to let me know that repairs to our van should be $190.00. I couldn't recall if I'd posted about the odd problems our van has been having. It's been hestitant to start--stalling before you could even get it into gear. Idling has been odd. Within the last two days, the Check Engine light came on.
During that time, we'd stopped by whatever auto parts place to have our battery tested. The battery tested fine, but the guy testing it was convinced that our alternator was faulty. A new one would run between $199.00 and $214.00 plus tax. We chose not to buy anything that night, since the van was due for an oil change this morning, and so we figured we'd get it all checked out today.
So, I'm just glad it's cheaper than what we'd thought it'd be, and that I won't have to try and jump in and try to install a new alternator--which my father-in-law would have helped with.
