Come too far to leave it all behind

Ah. Old Seventies (or was it Eighties?) pop music. With Peter Cetera still with them before going solo and such. I think I have this on my playlist because I heard it SO much during my childhood. That's the only reason that I can think of. There was a time when Chicago really did it for me (I was twelve, I think). Then I became disgusted with music like that, and moved on along to Black Flag, Bl'ast!, Descendents, name the punk group and I pretty much listened to them.

Amazing what a couple of years' difference makes. . .

As far back as I can remember, I always wanted to be a gangster.

Much to my wife's chagrin, I just LOVE films like Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction, Goodfellas, The Godfather yada yada yada. Must be a guy thing, like Tom Hanks said in You've Got Mail.

Anytime something like that comes on television, it becomes a war of attrition as to who will get to watch what. In the long run, it doesn't really matter to me, as I can always online game if she chooses to watch Lifetime Movie Network or something similar to that.

I've never understood Lifetime Movie Network, and I suppose I'm not meant to. It always seems as if there's a really DEPRESSING movie on the channel. Whenever that one Carmen Electra movie comes on, it's all over. . .no more TV for me. A Face to Die For I think it's called. Bleah.

Need sleepy

I hardly ever take a lunch, but today I've eaten too much Chinese food. At least it only cost $4.40 with a drink included. The problem now is the nappy feeling that all of us now have. Nappy tired, not nappy as is sloppy.

Our HR department decided to have an "Ice Cream Social" for staff and faculty today. Entirely too much food.
