Carvel Ice Cream

Oh yeah, I mentioned a TV show about ice cream in passing, but forgot to mention something I'd learned about Rachel. She did not know what Cookie Puss was. She knew of Fudgie the Whale--neither of us had ever seen the costume, it was weird looking.

I did not, however, know that Dairy Queen's Blizzard was spawned in the 1980s, and I never noticed the little curly Q on DQ ice cream cones--a DQ trademark, apparently.

Facts. If you don't have facts, you're. . .well, you know.

What I didn't know: Tom Carvel was a made-up character. There wasn't any "real" Tom Carvel. Weirdness.

Wow. That IS weird. I must have missed that bit of it. Guess it's like KFC, not really from Kentucky, sort of.

However Colonel Sanders was a real Kentucky Colonel, which is some sort of honorarium, kinda like becoming famous and having your university bestow an honorary doctorate or such like. And Lemuel Sanders was the real founder of KFC.

They sure would love to get that word "fried" outta their name about now though, wouldn't they?

Ah well, that is true. Not a fitting comparison at alll. What is it with the KFC Fried food denial? Kitchen Fresh Chicken? No, don't think so.
